How To Run The Norton Antivirus Software This Guide Will Help You Run Your Live Update And Scan Your Computer For Viruses
First find the Norton Antivirus Icon in the System Tray
Double Click the icon to launch the program
The System Status page will launch and will give you information about your system
Check the date of your virus definitions and when you last performed a system scan
Click on the "Live Update" Icon in the top left corner to start the program
Live Update will check to see if any updates are available
When finished click "Next"
After the updates are installed click "Finish"
Next You have to run the anti-virus scan of your drives.
Click the "Scan For Viruses" Button
Select "Scan All Hard Disks For Viruses"
Click the "Run Scan Now" button
A window will appear to show you the status of your scan.
Our best result would be that there are no viruses found
If that happens we are finished so then just click "Close"
If your scan shows a virus please check with your office manager or network administrator ASAP
